Just stumbled across this incredible story and a quick search for Lambie returned zero results, so I figured I would share it.

Good morning. I have a HK36-TTC with the 914 turbo and my engine temp warning light does not illuminate anymore on power up. I have replaced the bulb and traced the wiring to the Krutz temperature check box on the firewall. It seems the check box is getting power, but is not sending any power to the lamp on initial power up. I have contacted DIamond and the techs there now are not familiar with the HK36. Does anyone have information on the box or know where I can obtain a replacement?

	Thanks!

My query to the FAA regarding AD applicability of a recent AD affecting Diamond motorgliders. The response and the AD should be of interest to world-wide operators of these aircraft:

Dear Mr. Kiesov:

I own and maintain a Hoffman H-36, sn 3518 and also maintain another, sn 36212.

I found a very slight ambiguity in the applicability section of AD 2013-04-08. Am I correct in my understanding that H-36 aircraft to which this AD is applicable must fall within the serial number block 36300 through 36414? Or is it the intent that the AD applies to all H-36 and that applicability to the HK 36R is to that specified SN block?

The subject Diamond SB MSB 36-108 has no reference to H-36 models, but to HK 36 models only.

I'm not sure that the H-36 should be called out at all, as I suspect none fall within the SN block. (Not meant to be a factual statement.)

Thanks for your clarification.

There is nothing wrong with civil service retirement if you can have one of these toys!

Best,

Michael Stockhill

FAA response:

Thanks for the email. You are absolutely correct. FAA AD 2013-04-08 has

an error. The H-36 was included in the applicability by error. The HK36

was the correct model; however, that model is not TCed in the US.

We are in the process of amending the AD to remove the H36 from the

applicability of this AD,.

	Hello,

My fuel hoses run out of time. I am trying to have them replaced. I found one repairshop, but they refused to issue the FORM1 certificate because they said (just by looking at the photos which I sent them) that my hoses are metric and they (the repairshop) can only issue the FORM1 for standard.

Any comments on this please? How do you get around this obstacle?

	Regards

Hello?……HELLO???!!!! Is there anybody on this website or these forums? Maybe someone that could help me figure out why I can’t get a response out of someone that claims to be selling a motor glider here or even a reply from someone in charge of the Touring Motor Glider site to help me contact this seller. It’s electronic, so I’m not thinking it’s my breath, but who knows at this point. Several pleas for more information, but no help. Judging by the age of some of the post, this may be a dead or abandoned website, but yet there is a new add for a 1996 diamond hk36ttc and I would really like some more information on it. Anybody here that can help?

Britt

b737thurman@gmail.com

Hello all,

I am gathering materials for a scale modeling project; having purchased a kit of the Super Dimona and judged it to be very basic at best, I would like to ask for help. If anyone has, or can get close to, a Super Dimona and would be willing to provide a 'walk around' type of grouping of photos, I would appreciate it a great deal. I know that there were several variants of the aircraft, so a bit of focus would be needed. Please contact me if there is interest in this project.

 Thanks, and best to all,

 Charles
