GaryB
Has anyone fitted an iPad mini mount to a 109B panel, if so I'd appreciate a photo. I like the look of the Guardian Avionics mount but it won't fit in portrait orientation and in landscape, it eats up too much panel space..... https://www.guardianavionics.com/ifdr-aircraft-instrument-panel-flush-mount-ipad-mini Any comments/suggestions welcome. David Gofman
I love this idea. Please, let me know did you install on your 109B?
HiFlite
Obviously not a G-109, but here's what I did for my Ximango with PIC on the right hand side. I mounted a RAM ball at the bottom edge of the panel, with an arm extending upwards to the higher of the two positions on the RAM iPad Mini holder. By doing so, I can pull the top edge of the tablet holder towards me, suspending it flat above my leg and fully exposing the steam gauge altimeter & VSI behind. Very solid if one uses the somewhat rare 1x2" rectangular version of the surface mount (not the diamond, here centered underneath the barely visible VSI. On the other side, I suspend a "phone" (for XCSoar or similar) over the otherwise-useless fuse panel. There, it's set up to swing left out of the way if needed. https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-202U-
