Cowl Flap Cable Ferrule

Recommended Posts

A couple of days ago the cowl flap cable on my new Phoenix pulled out of the ferrule which attaches the cable to the cowl flap.  This is a brass ferrule that has a male thread on one end.  The cable appears to have been soldered into the ferrule.

Does anyone know where I can obtain a replacement ferrule in the US?  I have attached a picture of the part that I need.

Interesting - very sorry for this problem....

The string is soldered into thread. We do this in our workshop.

Seems that string has been pulled out so you can also solder it back. If you are planning to do that pls. make sure that warm the thread part enough so tin makes as perfect as possible connection. Of course - prior to soldering remove thread from black plastic ending.

Thank you for your post!

Best regards...

Martin
