Barry.h Posted January 1 Report Posted January 1 For the records…. My canopy has been sagging and dropping lately, so I have had the gas struts regassed. The spec on the side of the strut says 150N (15 kg-f) but mine measured at almost exactly 15kg. The guy who regassed it said that brand understated the force and mine should be about 200N , despite the rating on the side. He regassed mine but went a bit high… about 210N. My canopy is now well balanced, slightly positive but probably perfect. It was a very quick and cheap process. No more falling canopy for me. Yay! Barry Hendy #21 in Australia. Quote
Jamey Jacobs Posted January 12 Report Posted January 12 I replaced my struts a little over a year ago with the struts mentioned in previous threads. It was a little challenging, but manageable if you’re somewhat handy and creative with your tools. Although I did not look very hard, I did not find any services to recharge the struts. It’s definitely worth the effort to replace them and have the confidence that the canopy will not blow shut with mild or moderate winds. Quote
