Rally2B
Just received a letter attached to a survey asking if there is any interest in an engine replacement package using the Rotax 912. This was sent to me by Grob Aircraft along with some technical specifications. I believe they are looking to see if there is any interest and if so they may proceed with development. No costs were mentioned but I would like to see them develop an engine replacement just in case I need it later. Attached is a copy of the letter and they would like a response no later than November 15th. Please consider responding if you have not already done so. Thanks, Robert Grob Aircraft Factory G 109B engine conversion survey.pdf
Grobber
Does anybody know if the Grob Aircraft factory has decided on a direction based on the survey yet? Cheers. Mike.
CarlMims
Does anyone know the outcome of this? The email address in the letter bounces.
El_Guapo
Grob has released the drawings to change from a Grob 2500 to a Rotax 912. It is in a service bulletin under the "General" portion of downloads. According to the same service bulletin, the Grob 2500 is now 'obsolete'. Southern Sailplanes recovered from 2500s as part of "Project Able" but now shows all of them as sold out.
xintersecty
Here is the PDF for the service bulletin. Basically it says, it has been certified with no technical details. 817-71_Rotax_912iSc3.pdf
