During my 2/6/2019 flight, I noticed the left CHT needle on the Dynon was fluttering between 130-145, while the right CHT needle was steady. That was with the cowl flap fully open; with the cowl flap fully closed, both needles were steady. I've never seen the fluttering before. On the ground, I did not see any problem or change in the sensor or the connector to it and or it's wire. Wiggling the wire next to the connector did not cause the needle to wiggle. Note that the Left CHT is on the upper left, front corner of the engine; the Right CHT is on the upper right, rear corner. The left air inlet on the cowl blows air almost directly in the upper left, front CHT (the right/rear sensor shielded from the right cowl inlet), so it's hard for me to imagine how the airflow from the cowl scoop could affect it. Any ideas?

Dynon Skyview Dual Frequency ADS-B Receiver Firmware Update
mikeschumann posted a topic in Phoenix S-LSA Motorglider
Dynon just released a new Skyview Firmware Update a couple of weeks ago that is suppose to fix some significant problems with the dual frequency ADS-B receiver. Based on what is posted in the Dynon forums, it sounds like they are also eventually going to come up with a hardware revision to solve some additional problems. No details yet on that, but the tone of the posts implied that it would be no cost exchange for those of us who were on the bleeding edge and got the 1st batch of dual frequency receivers. I installed the update a couple of days ago, and it does appear to significantly increase the number of ADS-B targets that I see. I would strongly encourage you to upgrade if you have a dual frequency receiver. Note: What is not obvious, is that after you do the update to the Skyview System, you need to go into the ADS-B setup screen to actually download the new firmware into the dual frequency ADS-B receiver.
