  • G2500 Engine Extension over 1600 Hours

    Ethan Graham

Abstract:  I understood that for private use the engine could be operated past TBO "on condition" in USA and/or UK subject to passing a dedicated inspection every 100 hrs or yearly. Who could tel me what conditions are required to operate "on condition" over TBO? Are these rules applicable for all countries? (Iam flying under German flag)

    Dear all,
    My G109B engine, a G2500 S/N 152 will come to 1600hrs total time since
new next year. I fly about 100 hrs a year. I understood that for
private use the engine could be operated past TBO "on condition" in
USA and/or UK subject to passing a dedicated inspection every 100 hrs
    or yearly.
Who could tel me what conditions are required to operate "on
condition" over TBO? Are these rules applicable for all countries? (I
    am flying under German flag)
The engine is in perfect condition. Hot and cold starts are immediate.
The oil analysis revealed the engine in "standard" condition. The
compressions are all 78/80psi except one at 72/80.
Thanks for any advise or experience share
    Pierrot
