    Links Contributor Summary

Dr. Jack John Lawton Soundings and blip maps for a forecast of thermal activity. Accuracy varies depending on your location and the distance from where soundings are taken. Usually pretty accurate, though. Requires registration and a cookie. Site run by a glider pilot/meteorologist. Dr. Jack is 'da man!
Accuweather John Lawton I think these guys are better than TWC. Excellent radar source, fairly reliable forecasts. Accuweather meteorologist Joe Bastardi is the best in the business, IMO.
WeatherStreet John Lawton This site has animated forecast maps. Click on the map, let it load, then scroll across the timeline at the bottom to put map in motion. Good resource for precip and convective storm forecasting.
Wunderground John Lawton Has links to hundreds (if not thousands) of private automated weather stations. I use this one to check lapse rates against Dr. Jack by looking at private weather station temps and comparing current temps at high and low elevations in my area. (Valley vs. mountain top stations) Good tool for identifying inversions, too.
USAirNet Horst Stratmann Air Sports Net aviation weather.  Interesting graphics and multi-day forecasts.
FltPlan.com John Lawton Used by corporate pilots for filing flight plans and has decent weather options.
    XC Skies Ron Snedecor

Interactive soaring forecast maps for virtually every flyable location on planet Earth.  Goal is to provide timely and highly useful soaring forecasts to allow pilots to make better decisions on when and where to fly.  2010 Annual Subscription rate is $39.95.

Airport WX Map Manny Sousa Weather map which can be customized so that when mouse is moved over weather reporting stations it shows the reported weather at that location.
