Ed Babovec
Hi Tom, Yes, it's actually a hydraulically powered adjustment mechanism. (not a constant speed). I know what you're thinking, why does it have to be hydraulically powered, being that the prop is relatively light. I've asked and have not received a reasonable answer. When I get my first U-15, I'll share the answer. You can also go to woodcomppropellers.com for some info. Hi Mike, Much better than the divided panel. You can order a carbon fiber panel as an option, also. Now have to work on W&B for the extra weight forward. Hi Doug, Don't know. I'll include your question on my next email to the factory. BTW, the new seats will give some extra headroom for tall pilots, and factory says they are just as comfortable as the old seats, some kind of space age foam. We'll see. Ed Babovec
Tom, Since you mentioned the word throttle, an excuse to say that now PureFlight is using a McFarlane vernier throttle now. A high quality, much, much better throttle than was used previously. In the past, I've repaired many of the former throttles, it seems to be a go to item from Europe for some reason. This is a good sign that PureFlight is looking at every detail, and if there's a better alternative, they won't hesitate e to make the change. Refreshing considering my last ten years. The McFarlane throttle is easily retrofittable, but will require an LOA.
