After hearing Rob's recent need to change out his fuel line early, I had my mechanic pull back a couple of the fire tubing in order to inspect the underlying fuel hose.

The good news is that the fuel lines looked fine.  We did notice one concern, hence this post.

I wish I had taken a picture of it but while inspecting the fuel lines we noticed that on either side of the "one way" valves the clamps were placed over the top of the fire tubing such that the fuel line was being indirectly clamped.

We decided that the proper installation was to clamp the fuel lines directly and then safety wire the fire tubing over the top of the clamp.

Took picture of the repair.  Note that the clamps are under the fire sleeves.
