Decalin fuel additive

Recommended Posts

I've read that Decalin fuel additive can help reduce lead deposits in the Rotax engines that use 100LL fuel.  Can anyone recommend this?  Is it safe to use in the Phoenix wing tanks?

Thanks

Hi Doug,

There has been no Decalin additive testing in the Phoenix fuel tank.  Ethanol is strictly forbidden.  I personally would not add something to the tank besides 91 unleaded no ethanol or 100LL because the risk to the tank is too high.
