17E is gas. I use nitrogen. Thought maybe supplemented by fluid. Never rebuilt them. Sent from my iPhone Fred Bonar

What I do know for sure, is that all Taifun main gear, are hydraulic dampened, and gas filled. No doubt what so ever! Gary Davis
