RF5B in South Africa formally N55RW Serial No 51046

Hi All,

The East Rad Touring Motor Glider Club has just bought an RF5B to add to the club fleet. We found it on a farm strip near the Kruger Park just outside Nelspruit. Not sure of its history as still need to trawl through the logbooks etc. It was obviously imported from USA some time back. Anybody out there knows its history?

N55RW was sold and left the USA 04/03/1997. I am guessing Bert Buytendyk (Sport-Aviation) imported it when new. He was the Mid West/East Coast importer based out of Wooster Ohio. My RF5B was also imported by Bert. (N55SM #51053)
