Okay, there might be a few opinions mixed in. Pushing It The weather is not going to get better in another five miles. If you are trying to scud-run, the weather will get worse. Towers and power lines are affected by weather: They get taller and move nearer to highways, railroad tracks and airports when the ceiling gets very low. You are most likely to discover an unlighted tower when you are trying to fly low because of weather. The article continues with dozens and dozens of such observations. It's quite fun and useful.
