  2. Hi Colleagues One thing that is critical to a website's success is its ranking on Search Engine Pages. There is a whole bunch of art, science, and technique related to SEO (Search Engine Optimization). As your webmaster, I will be working projects on my side. Today I did searches on the term "touring motor gliders" and we ended with the following ranks on the first page: Google - #2 Bing - #4 Yahoo - #4 Hooray! This is good. Ultimately I am hoping that other terms will work as well. I will continue to work on programming projects to help. However, our membership can do a number of things for us: Generally, every time some does a search and then selects our TMGA website, the search engines are able to record this and it helps the rank. However, the benefit goes down on the same computer. So if you have time and as you travel around, if you do a search and select us, it helps our rankings immensely. Search engines use keywords or tags to help categorize pages on the website. As you add posts in the forum, photo gallery, classifieds, and knowledgebase, there is generally an option (not required) to add tags or keywords to that post. The more useful terms you use help the engines get confident about your page. BTW we have several Tag Cloud tools coming which might be of interest to tracking activities on our site. Thanks for the help!
