    Abstract:  This is a copy of a email we have sent to an expert in the UK. we are currently trying to diagnose a persistent problem with our 109b.Has anyone experienced similar problems?

    I replaced all of the parts that you sent (both intake manifolds, both carbs, all four spark plugs) and we also readjusted the valves per the maintenance manual (0.016 in/4mm) and we initially gained 100 RPM during runup.

    We double-checked the linkages and we think we have them adjusted as close as possible. However, there are a couple of loose linkage ball joints that may affect performance. The aircraft ran fine for a day or so but we are experiencing intermittent loss of RPM (approx 200-300 RPM).
