    Xoggers, help!

Following your advice, I'd hope to do some soaring out of Seminole Lake. FL in late March,
but have just found that 1. they've got a group coming in late March, and there's no room,
and 2. they won't instruct me in my own a/c.

I had emailed Knute and company two months ago to query about accomodations and
instruction. They answered positively to both, but now their tune has changed. It's as if they
never bothered actually reading my email. Golly...imagine that.

So I'm looking for more suggestions for good soaring, from a good place to stay in late
March. Somewhere in the southeast. Are there other good airports near Seminole Lake?

    Please help.

    Your faithful listserver,

    Bruce

    Bruce:

I know Knute well and will talk to him when I am over there for the seniors
the week of March 8. Don't recall any policy of this sort being in place
there in the past, but things change...
The place I'd recommend near Seminole Lake is Winter Haven. It is just a
short distance south of Knute's place, so gets the same weather. They sell
MOGAS, have lots of ramp space (can't say about hangars) and there are
several other motorgliders based there. Hotels are reasonable. Be aware of
proximity to Lakeland if your stay extends into early April and Sun n Fun
    time. Good luck,

    Denis Michaud
