    Dear Xoggers,

Just for your interest, an AMT-200 sold here recently for $AUD 120 000. It
was an earlier S/N than mine (which is 064). I'm not sure what extra goodies
are included but someone got a bargain.

Also I have recently replaced all my rubber components, the job turned out
to be a nightmare. We decided to use good quality automoitive hoses; the
rotax supplier's stuff was really expensive. & didnt have to deal with
aeromot. Turned out to be false economy as it was difficult to get hose to
fit esp. water around that octopus thingy as such a tight fit. Cost more in
    labour in the end!
So if youre using non-standard stuff , buy little pieces to check fit first.
Beware the hose onto the mech.fuel pump, one end is metric and the other end
    is SAE !

Also the bottom hoses with the metal braid covering are TEFLON!!! so dont
need to be pulled off, or you get the extra job of having to do the rotax SI
thing of blowing back the oil which is a prize pain in the arse. Plus I
missed 2 months of the gliding season as I had to leave my glider behind up
north whilst the fellow found time to do the job. Bugger!

Lesson:  Next time I shall consult the XOG Oracle first!

    My regulator story:

It had been crook for a long time, ie when I used strobes the charge couldnt
keep up. Because I'm a dumb brunette and had it always been so, ( the
voltage problem that is), I thought that it was just drawing more current
that could be coped with at the time. That was really blonde though, wasnt
it? I cant believe I was that stupid. In hindsight, I had a regulator
problem for a long time, before it decided to wait until I was in an
    inconvienient location to kark it.

Other Xoggers have written re voltmeters, I have a very nice digital vario
approx $AUD700 which is cheaper in $US., a Tasman brand. It has a voltmeter
included and a low battery warning. It's current draw is negligible.   see:
    www.tasmaninstruments.com.au

Whilst I'm currently on currents, there is a new low current draw  Txpdr
"microair" brand. A low amp encoder is soon to follow. www.microair.com.au
They also have some new glider packages that look quite good.

Also saw some interesting avionics; see

    Sandra,
In many wasy the plane that I bought in Meoblurne was less than the other ximangoes advertised at the time however, it had a very pain fit out and there are a few items that need to be repaired namely the tail wheel assembly. If anyone knows where I can buy the swivel release sections I would be very grateful.
    Many thanks

PS left a couple of messages at your work did you get these?
