I had a very good conversation with Ximango engineer Luiz Castilho.
Luiz says that they're working on getting certification for ceramic-
coated exhaust manifold pipes.
But for now, Ximango owners must continue to wrap these pipes in
Thermotec.

Dear Xoggers --
I had a very good conversation with Ximango engineer Luiz Castilho.
Luiz says that they're working on getting certification for ceramic-
coated exhaust manifold pipes.
But for now, Ximango owners must continue to wrap these pipes in
Thermotec.
However, Aeromot engineering department does not see any problem if
exhaust pipes coated with ceramic are installed, just as long as they
are also wrapped in Thermotec.
Half a loaf is better than none. And two thermal barriers might be
better than one.
That's the news. Comments?
thanks, Bruce
